New method provides insight in gene expression in living human cells

Researchers led by Peter Rehling have developed a new method to study gene expression in mitochondria. The method allows a comprehensive temporal monitoring of cellular responses in living human cells.

The Equal Opportunities Office and the UMG Human Resources Department have jointly produced a guide specifically for managers containing information on maternity protection law and returning to work after parental leave. XLAB Science Festival – Holger Stark presents the power of optics and microscopy to the public at the XLAB Science Festival.

Holger Stark, an expert in cryo-electron microscopy, has achieved remarkable success in resolving protein structures by achieving atomic resolution.  His talk showed how advances in microscopy have led to a step-by-step revelation of reality that challenges and extends existing model concepts, and often had to overcome initial resistance from established scientists.
