Jörg Stülke and Matthias Dobbelstein will give a look behind the scenes at the SFB with their presentations at the “Night of Sciences”. Jörg will talk about how bacteria can become the new vegan protein producers and Matthias will give an overview of approaches in modern cancer research, prevention and treatment.

This award recognizes UMG’s efforts to promote family friendliness, such as supporting parents in balancing work and family life.
For example, the Equal Opportunities Office and the HR Department at UMG have published a guide specifically for managers, which includes information on maternity protection and returning to work after parental leave. The guide was co-financed by SFB1565 and is available in print and online.

Researchers led by Peter Rehling have developed a new method to study gene expression in mitochondria. The method allows a comprehensive temporal monitoring of cellular responses in living human cells.
