Project P12
Post-translational regulation of ribonucleases and their roles in processing and decay of diverse RNAs during cellular stress
About
Multifunctional ribonucleases mediate the processing, quality control and decay of different RNA species in diverse aspects of gene expression. However, little is currently known about how the activities of components of the RNA degradation machinery are regulated in general and especially how they are altered to meet the increased demand for RNA turnover in response to stress assaults. In this project, we will explore mechanisms of regulation of ribonucleases, focusing on post-translational modifications and relocalization to membraneless organelles.
