Project P05

Coordination of genome maintenance and gene expression processes through multifunctional molecular machineries

About

Human activating signal co-integrator complex (ASCC) is involved in numerous genome maintenance, gene expression and gene regulation processes, representing a paradigmatic example for the coupling between such processes via multi-functional molecular machinery (moonlighting). Employing a combined biochemical, structural and multi-omics approach, this project will investigate how ASCC is embedded into, and exerts functions within, diverse molecular contexts, thereby contributing to central themes of this CRC on the mechanisms and coordination of gene regulatory machineries.
